VIRUS UNDEAD es una peli dirigida en 2008 por Wolf Wolff y Ohmuthi. Terror indie aleman de infecciones y zombies de muy buen nivel tecnico, tanto de realizacion, fotografia y FX, aunque no de un gran argumento, originalidad y desarrollo. Una infeccion causada por un virus que es basicamente el de la gripe aviar aunque en mutacion constante esta afectando a la gente y transformandolos en una especie de zombies agresivos, mientras enormes bandadas de aves, sobre todo cuervos, vagan enfermas y descontroladas atacando a la gente. Robert es el protagonista, un estudiante de medicina y nieto del cientifico desarrollador de una primera version de la vacuna que ha muerto en su mansion atacado por las aves. Junto a dos amigos de clase se dirigen el fin de semana hasta alla en su pueblo natal para organizar las cosas del abuelo. Al grupo se une una exnovia y una amiga que trabajan en la tienda del pueblo y que son invitadas. El grupo se ve acosado por el poli del pueblo y por un antiguo enemigo de Robert que ahora tiene una fabrica de comida asquerosa y totalmente infectada. Son atacados dentro de la propiedad y algunos de los amigos son infectados, mientras la plaga se extiende por toda la zona y el número de zombies y pajaros aumenta…Aunque irregular a nivel global, no es la tipica peli barata alemana rodada en video. Es un film de una factura tecnica impecable, pero poco original argumentalmente, con muchos cliches y que se le echa demasiado en falta mas y mejor accion zombi. Peli entretenida aunque podria haber sido mejor; se agradece el esfuerzo y el entusiasmo de hacer estas pelis pero hay que exigirles que sean mejores en cuanto a desarrollo de historia y personajes, porque la factura tecnica es bastante buena.
