Basada en la serie de comic escrita por Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead cuenta la historia de las semanas y meses que siguen tras un apocalipsis zombie. Narra las aventuras de un pequeño grupo de supervivientes, liderados por Rick Grimes, un oficial de policía que viaja con su familia en busca de un lugar seguro en donde refugiarse de esta amenaza. Pero la presión constante de pelear contra la muerte diariamente, tiene un precio alto, hace que muchos de ellos terminen cayendo en los niveles más bajos de crueldad. Mientras Rick lucha por mantener viva a su familia, descubrirá que el temor incontenible de los sobrevivientes puede ser aún más peligroso que estos zombies.
